Pay Status: Hourly

Exemption Status:  Non-Exempt

General Summary: Entry-level position which assists with the day-to-day administrative / clerical activities for the Human Resource department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Audits employment related activities in the HRIS system for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provides guidance to field management regarding use of the HRIS system.
  • Provides customer service support for field operations by answering general Human Resource questions.
  • Files/uploads and maintains documents on an ongoing basis.
  • Advises management and ensures I9 and E-verify compliance.
  • Partners with a third party administrator in responding to unemployment claims.
  • Coordinates relocations for new hires and transferring associates, including budget maintenance.
  • Advises field management on rehire eligibility.
  • Provides administrative support to a Human Resource Manager and Generalist.
  • Provides support for the Front Desk Receptionist and Mail Room Clerk as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as determined by the division being supported.

 Requirements (knowledge, skills & abilities):

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative / clerical experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Efficient and detail-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Effective communication skills, including oral, written and interpersonal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with associates at many levels.
  • Willingness to take initiative and continually look for ways to improve processes.
  • Must be able to convey a professional image and maintain confidentiality.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
