Job Summary: The HR Manager collaborates with DC leadership to create the strategy for success. Develops, recommends, and implements solutions that support the DC in meeting business goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to supports compliance and strategy needs.
  • Handles associate concerns timely and with empathy.
  • Advises DC leadership on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensures overall compliance with company policies and applicable federal/state laws such as EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
  • Coaches and develops front-line management in performance counseling and development planning.
  • Coordinates workforce/labor planning, aligning to the business needs.
  • Stays up-to-date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in the HR space, and makes recommendations for change as appropriate.
  • Oversees the administration of the Progressive Discipline and Attendance policy.
  • Manages internal investigations to ensure completion in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
  • Primary lead for employment-related legal issues.
  • Manages all areas of the HR functions including Leaves of Absence, Recruiting, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment, Staffing Reports, etc.
  • Supervises Operations Coordinator and Office Assistant.


  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to convey a positive professional image while maintaining company standards with strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Leads training and development plans for all associates.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team with management and associates at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 to 7 years of HR or related management experience required.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies/procedures and laws/regulations preferred.
  • Proven ability to build strong professional relationships with management at all levels.
  • Experience working with a range of supporting HR vendors a plus.
