Now Hiring Experienced Maintenance Technician for 2nd Shift- Competitive pay based on Experience! 

 

Job Summary: Works with the Maintenance staff to maintain equipment in working order and to meet operations standards.  Follows safety precautions when working with equipment, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Hours: 2nd Shift Monday – Friday, 3:30pm –midnight (Overtime as needed)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on distribution center equipment and vehicles, and maintain accurate and thorough records of maintenance completed.
  • Troubleshoots issues with equipment and vehicles and determine/recommend an appropriate solution.
  • Proactively advises Maintenance Manager of potential problems so that a plan of action can be determined prior to a problem developing.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and equipment by following all safety rules, procedures, and regulations, with specific regard to lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintains a clean working environment.
  • Assists in maintaining an accurate parts inventory.
  • Special assignments as directed by Maintenance Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • PLC and low voltage controls experience.
  • Multi electrical instrument knowledge.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds.
  • Ability to operate power tools, hand held tools, and lift trucks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment and conveyor system.
  • Possess a basic understanding of 24- to 480-volt electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, operation manuals, etc.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
  • Availability to work the hours necessary to ensure completion of necessary tasks.
  • Prior maintenance experience in a distribution or production environment is desirable.
