Starting wage: $15.50/ hour + Benefits

Hours: 1st Shift: Monday -- Friday, 6:45am-3:15pm (fulltime) + overtime

About the Role:

As a Quality Control Clerk, you’ll be responsible for the daily operation of the conveyor sortation system, ensuring it runs efficiently and without interruption. Key responsibilities will be to identify and resolve issues with cases that are mislabeled or unreadable at scanner points to maintain accuracy and productivity.

What You’ll Do:

Identify and resolve mislabeled and no-read cartons that arrive into the QC area
Monitor conveyors to ensure product is flowing through the DC in an efficient manner
Start/stop induction lines as requested by DC leadership to ensure line time is prioritized appropriately
Identify and communicate conveyor malfunctions with other departments including maintenance
Clear jams in QC/Sawtooth department as well communicates flow issues with other departments in the DC in a timely manner
Monitor and stock PANDA printers and other supplies as needed
Maintain a clean and safe environment at all work stations and equipment

What We’re Looking For:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to climb up/down ladders and stairs, stand for 8 hours or more, walk to various departments across the building, & work in a constantly noisy environment around heavy equipment on the ground floor and at the mezzanine level.

Ability to quickly read, learn, and understand standard operating and safety procedures
Ability to operate a hand-held scanner

A few years of warehouse/factory experience preferred
Team player with a good attitude and attention to detail
Strong computer skills, to include MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
High degree of organization and ability to prioritize
Familiarity with Shoe Carnival’s Manhattan WMS and Pyramid WCS; or ability to learn
Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
Ability to communicate professionally, including oral and written
Possess understanding of the Distribution Center functionality; or ability to learn
Ability to lift as required, up to 70 lbs.
