Immediate opportunity! Join our Marketing team at our Corporate Headquarters in Fort Mills, SC. This position will report to the corporate office on Monday through Thursday and work remotely on Friday from home.

 

Summary:

 

The Manager of Analytics and Insights is responsible for influencing business strategy through data analytics and consumer insights. This position is also responsible for creating, delivering and continuously improving our business measurement solutions, as well as coaching and developing a team of analysts.

 

  • Develops and executes the insights and analytics vision, strategy, learning plan, and data roadmap aligning with the overall business strategy across Shoe Carnival's banners.
  • Serves as the voice of the customer to the organization, bringing together disparate data sources including primary research, media insights, customer experience insights, customer database and web/CRM behavioral data to present a holistic, single view of the customer.
  • Chooses appropriate research methods for standard consumer tracking and various ad-hoc requests across the business (i.e. quantitative, qualitative, primary, and secondary)
  • Analyzes marketing metrics for identifying cause-effect relationships between financial outcomes and business actions to increase sales and profitability.
  • Translates complex analytics tasks into concise and easily consumable outputs (data storytelling and dashboards) to help business stakeholders make data driven decisions.
  • Develops and manages the implementation of analytics solutions to support business objectives.
  • Utilizes data analytics expertise to lead and develop a team of data analysts.
  • Provides expertise and knowledge on analytics tools and offerings, staying abreast of industry trends and technologies.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related analytical degree, and/or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results to key stakeholders required.
  • Experience with various market research methodologies and survey writing and design required.
  • Experience managing data analysts and/or experience mentoring individual contributors preferred.
  • Advanced SQL experience required.
  • Knowledge of ETL concepts, data modeling, schema design, and database technologies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a proven ability to problem solve using data.
  • Working knowledge of statistical models including logistic/linear regression, cluster analysis, propensity models, and other modeling techniques required.
  • Experience with Tableau and Microstrategy preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and CDP platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
