Enjoy working on-site at Shoe Carnival's corporate office located in Evansville, Indiana with our Information Services Team.

Hours in this position average 40 hours per week- most weeks are either 36 or 48 hours. This position will primarily require 2nd shift hours (11am-8pm) Tuesday - Thursday, and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday: Saturday is approximately a 4 hour shift, 6am-10am and Sunday is typically an 8-15 hour shift starting at 6am). This schedule provides frequent 4 day weekends and is consistent to allow you time to plan and enjoy the long weekends! Candidates must be able to work some Holiday's as well and it is required to work these non-standard hours/days in order to provide system support and coverage.

The Computer Operator is responsible for supporting corporate systems, daily production reporting monitoring and job execution, and provides user support.

• Monitors and schedules system jobs and reports.
• Identifies and escalates system and job related issues to next level support as needed.
• Generates, prepares and distributes various company reports on a weekly basis.
• Maintains corporate backup systems and scheduling on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Provides user support to Shoe Carnival associates.
• Runs additional reports as needed per specific user parameters.
• Documents procedures that change frequently.
• Works with various vendors on copier/equipment repairs, data wiring requests and off-site tape pick-ups.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent work-related experience required.
• Familiarity with a variety of PC hardware and software.
• Familiarity with LINUX operating system a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products a plus.
• Working knowledge of network systems, Windows operating systems, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible, detail-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn and possess a comprehensive knowledge of Shoe Carnival's hardware and software systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes alternating holidays and weekends.
