GMM Administrative Assistant

Shoe Station has an immediate opening for a GMM Admin Assistant to add to its already strong buying team in our new southern office in Fort Mill, South Carolina (southern suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina). You must be an organized and driven team player with a passion for retail merchandising.

 

This position will report to the corporate office on Monday through Thursday and work remotely on Friday from home.

 

Summary:

 

The GMM Admin Assistant provides complete support to the Vice President, General Merchandise Manager in overall division strategies.

 

  • Greets visitors, confirms appointments, escorts vendors to conference rooms and assists with various needs.
  • Maintains company phone directory.
  • Manages and schedules conference rooms.
  • Manages VP, GMM calendar.
  • Prepares VP, GMM expenses and turns in division expenses.
  • Creates and manages analytical templates, runs regular and adhoc reports and prepares various documents for VP, GMM.
  • Attends Style Outs and works with the Buyers to coordinate setup and completion of strategic documents.
  • Assists VP, GMM with division strategies including marketing, visual, digital, brand plans, business strategies, and vendor relations.
  • Assists division with miscellaneous projects
  • Assists Children's Buyer with order writing during peak buying seasons.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain complex analysis reports in spreadsheets.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-task oriented.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with associates, supervisors, and vendors at all levels.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of market and fashion trends.
  • Ability to maintain a positive team environment and be willing to assist others.
