The Information Services Intern assists the engineering staff in developing and testing internally created applications to support the Merchandising, Distribution Center, eCommerce, and Information Services teams. Upon completion of the internship, the Information Services Intern has a working knowledge of internal applications and a full understanding of what a career in Information Services at Shoe Carnival entails.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops and tests internal applications to support various departments.
• Assists in providing general support to Corporate Office, Distribution Center, and Retail Store customers.
• Utilizes programming techniques and standards to support assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with at least one year completed.
• Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office and programming knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Proven problem solving capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
