Search Marketing Specialist

Shoe Station has an immediate opening for a dynamic Search Marketing Specialist to add to its already strong marketing team. We are looking for an energized, strategic thinking individual focused on helping to grow an already fun-loving brand based in our new headquarters (southern suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina). You must be a team collaborator with passion, insight, and ideation for Marketing.

 

This position will report to the corporate office on Monday through Thursday and work remotely on Friday from home.

 

Summary:

 

The Search Marketing Specialist is responsible for the execution, optimization, and analysis of the Search Marketing programs to align with the overall marketing strategy. This position partners with internal and external teams to develop, implement, and test search engine strategies that drive traffic and revenue both online and in-store.

 

  • Drives growth in the program through analysis, testing, optimization, competitive research, and keyword expansion.
  • Collaborates with Agency to manage the budget and maximize ROAS across campaigns and ad groups.
  • Works with Agency, CRM, and Integrated Marketing to build out local search campaigns that drive traffic and sales to retail locations.
  • Collaborates with internal teams for promotional and product planning, customer contact

strategy/segmentation, and creative content/messaging.

  • Liaises with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor a keyphrase list that is relevant and provides the greatest opportunity for driving traffic and conversions both online and in-store.
  • Collaborates with CRM Director to develop SEO forecast for online traffic and sales.
  • Identifies SEO issues with the websites and coordinates with cross-functional teams to resolve

(duplicate content, redirects, crawl errors, site speed, etc.).

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to make recommendations for navigation, site layout, copy, images, etc. as it relates to better SEO rankings and qualified traffic.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to drive exposure to store pages from "near me" and other localized searches.
  • Stays abreast of advancements and trends in paid search marketing, SEO, and algorithmic updates.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience in search engine marketing.
  • 1-3 years of search marketing experience (preferably with a multichannel retailer).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the major search engine platforms (Google and Bing) and their capabilities.
  • Experience with utilizing research and analytical tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Brightedge).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and gather input from key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and outside agencies.
  • Strong ability to analyze, identify, and understand critical issues and information to make informed decisions.
  • Moderate proficiency with MS Office (primarily Excel).
