Sr. Creative Manager-Shoe Station

Shoe Station has an immediate opening for a dynamic Sr. Creative Manager to add to its already strong marketing team. We are looking for an energized, strategic thinking individual focused on helping to grow an already fun-loving brand based in our new headquarters (southern suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina). You must be a team collaborator with passion, insight, and ideation for Marketing.

 

This position will report to the corporate office on Monday through Thursday and work remotely on Friday from home.

 

Summary:

The Sr. Creative Manager is responsible for the day-to-day creative look and messaging for all creative to include print, digital and social assets. They lead a team of designers, photographers, copywriters, visual merchandisers, and marketing coordinators and ensure all creative delivers against Shoe Station brand standards.

 

  • Establishes the vision for the entire creative department within the framework of the total company objectives and marketing vision.
  • Within the framework of the overall Brand Style Guide, compiles Creative Style Guides for seasonal campaigns that set the look and feel for key time periods.
  • Reviews all creative briefs and marketing channel calendars to strategically understand requests and needs. Assigns day-to-day tasks to creative team and ensures deliverables are clear, understood and prioritized to meet project deadlines.
  • Delivers all executional design elements to support marketing initiatives to include; Free-standing Inserts (FSI), Direct Mail, Out-of-Home (OOH), homepage collateral desktop/mobile, email, display, and social assets.
  • Reviews and approves weekly creative direction before review with the VP of eCommerce and Shoe Station Marketing.
  • Serves as design lead for all print materials as well as all lifestyle photo shoots helping set direction with staff photographer and making selects for assets.
  • Leads the photography team with overall direction for product shots to support campaign messaging.
  • Works with merchant teams to understand key product stories and direction to deliver compelling messages to support product.
  • Attends and oversees production when necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a creative design role required.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a creative team and setting creative vision, retail omnichannel experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft office tools. Knowledge of Dreamweaver and After Effects is a plus.
  • Must be able to prioritize efforts to meet deadlines, and to direct the team accordingly.
  • Comfortable working in a data-driven environment, using data to inform and optimize creative assets.
  • A positive attitude and a great sense of humor that relates to our fun-loving brand is a plus.
