This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Evansville, Indiana and offers excellent benefits and competitive pay! Enjoy working at the corporate office Monday through Thursday and working remotely on Friday from home.

The Store Planner partners with cross-functional teams to execute the strategic direction and design of the store environment for store layouts, store expansion, "shop in shop" installations and remodels by using creativity, foresight, and judgment to meet project requirements and objectives. This position is responsible for optimizing the sales floor layout to achieve maximum capacity and great customer experience.

· Creates and develops new store, shop installations, remodel drawings, and construction plans using AutoCAD software. Develops and updates drawings and landlord files to company layer standards.

· Utilizes Shoe Carnival's prototypical design and fixture standards, ensuring store plans are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations (ADA, fire and construction codes, etc.). Collaborates with management to resolve any compliance concerns when necessary.

· Monitors the design process from the conceptual phase through construction installation while ensuring the design is consistent and properly executed.

Translates design concept to new and remodel locations based on project requirements, landlord-tenant criteria, Letter of Design, egress, code and accessibility, signage, and energy requirements. Partners with cross-functional team members to determine scope of projects.

· Coordinates design intent among internal and external cross-functional teams (architecture, construction, marketing, vendors, etc.).

· Supports the design criteria by collaborating with various departments and millwork manufactures on the development of new fixtures and source materials.

· Oversees project budgets, schedules, and the design accuracy and compliance.

· Manages corporate office space planning and design updates.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Retail Store or Space Planning, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• Excellent skills in utilizing AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.
• Working knowledge of material costs, current products, and design trends.
• Experience in reading construction documents.
• Ability to hand sketch.
• Proven ability to multi-task while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and gather input from key stakeholders.
• Periodic travel required (less than 10%).
