Supply Chain Analyst

Immediate opportunity for recent graduates!  On the job training provided for this entry level Supply Chain Analyst position.  Join our Supply Chain team at our Distribution Center office located in Evansville, Indiana. This position will report to the office Monday through Friday.

 

Summary:

 

The Supply Chain Analyst gathers data and conducts analysis in order to improve Shoe Carnival's supply chain operations.

 

  • Collaborate with appropriate areas to gather information, conduct data mining, perform analysis, and envision improvement in the supply chain via assigned projects.
  • Utilizes software and other modeling techniques to run scenarios and deliver key insights identifying problematic areas and suggesting improvements.
  • Assists in the deployment of metrics to analyze vendor and logistical performance.
  • Plans and implements supply chain optimization projects related to warehouse-slotting, route planning, and store product delivery.
  • Works with cross-functional teams in the implementation and management of product flow.
  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities for cost reduction throughout the entire supply chain.
  • Provides analytical support for KPIs, root cause analysis, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Utilizes detailed data analytics to identify the most cost effective shipping modes and schedules, and analyzes subsequent invoices for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitors and communicates to key stakeholders outbound freight spend variances for areas of opportunity to improve.
  • Evaluates vendor operations according to quality standards and helps foster collaborative relationships with business partners

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Operations Management, and/or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or CSCMP are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and gather input from key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well with team members and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and follow through to completion.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills required, and intermediate Access skills preferred.
