Description:

The UX/UI Designer role assists the discovery, definition and delivery of website functionality for Shoecarnival.com to maximize business results, improve customer experience, and enhance brand value through designs incorporated by other teams into A/B Testing, Personalization and implementation. This role will translate user needs and business requirements into a UI/UX design that satisfies both the business need and the functionality need while aiding with cross-team communication, collaboration, and development.

• Identifies website design problems and creates UX solutions related to core functions and features to improve conversion rates by promoting best practices in UI, UX, and interaction design.
• Participates in strategy and brainstorm sessions with product managers to help articulate and define goals.
• Designs and delivers wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Translates user needs and client requirements from rough concepts to visual concepts to be used in testing and aid with cross-team communication, collaboration, and development.
• Understands and applies research methodologies (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research etc.)
• Collaborates with Product Managers to understand key performance indicators and makes recommendations based on data.
• Conducts continuous design improvements, support, and balance team recommendations with research, analytics, usability testing, customer insights and other quantitative/qualitative insights as appropriate to advance ideas.
• Works closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented into production.
